All subcontractor’s shall submit their SOV for project manager approval prior to them mobilizing on the project. Project manager should review, reject, negotiate, and approve all subcontractor schedule of values (SOVs). The more detail the better. Don’t allow them to “front load” the billing.
Collect, review, and approve/ approve as noted/ reject monthly subcontractor and vendor billings.
Resource Allocation & Scheduling:
Manage and allocate resources within the staff to optimize efficiency. The Project Manager is responsible for performing tasks when staffing is unavailable or unable to maintain budget, time and schedule.
Address any shortages or resource constraints and address the issues to maintain project schedules while managing the budget.
Work with procurement and/or Project Executive to ensure accurate and timely delivery of subcontracts.

Summary:

Assistant Superintendent | PA
Job Summary:
An Assistant Superintendent at Tester Construction Group will work with the Superintendent to ensure the successful execution of assigned construction projects, ensuring projects meet time, budget, and quality expectations. The Asst. Superintendent reports directly to their assigned Superintendent. In the absence of a “Manager”, the Assistant will act in the capacity of a Superintendent (see role). The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for the overall success of their assigned tasks, project activities, and ensures compliance with company procedures, standard operating procedures, and industry regulations while fostering a safe and efficient work environment. The Assistant Superintendent will be required to perform tasks related to on-site coordination for all phases of construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Assistant Superintendent shall be responsible, with the Superintendent, for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.

- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure staff and vendors adhere to safety standards and legal regulations, promoting a strong safety culture.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and company-specific safety policies.
- Client Relations:
- Become key point of contact for vendors in matters relating to onsite issues, constructability, etc….
- Be key point of contact for vendors assigned.
- Maintain open lines of communication with vendors in order to address concerns, ensuring overall satisfaction, and maintain the relationships.
- Work collaboratively with TCG team and vendors to ensure that client requirements and expectations are clearly communicated and met.
- Create collaborative relationships between consultants, TCG and vendors.
- Attend OAC meetings, agendas and meeting minutes as required. Provide input relating to schedule, quality and constructability as required.
- Always be on the offensive rather than defensive with vendors. Think and plan for problems before recognized by the vendors.
- Vendor & Subcontractor Management:
- Responsible for all planning and execution of scheduling on-site work for assigned vendors and/or tasks.
- Responsible for resolving vendor issue/concerns on the site.
- Quarterback coordination and safety meetings are being held with assigned vendors.
- Collaborate with the project management staff to source and manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring materials and services meet project standards and timelines.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors to resolve any financial issues, and delivery or quality issues promptly.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure you and your vendors are adhering to quality assurance and control procedures on assigned projects to ensure work meets company standards and client specifications.
- Develop, maintain and/or manage use of regular punchlists, RFIs, and daily logs.
- Develop, maintain and/or manage construction schedules and two week look aheads.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the integrity of construction work and directly address any deficiencies.
- Ensure project handover meets or exceeds client expectations in terms of quality, functionality, and aesthetic standards. This position will be responsible for the overall success and will be required to perform the tasks in the absence of staff or failure of their staff to ensure successful completion of the projects.
- Management of warranty from past projects with the Project Manager/Superintendent. Coordinating coverage and getting trades to perform warranty work.
- Overall execution and management of all punchlists.
- Reporting and Communication:
- Maintain open communication with Superintendents and Project Management Team.
- Provide regular reports to Superintendent on project performance, operational challenges, and strategies for improvement.
- Attend regular team meetings to coordinate project goals, status updates, and any operational adjustments.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of project progress, scheduling, punchlists, inspections and quality control.

Summary: As an Accounting Intern at Tester Construction Group, you will gain hands-on experience in construction accounting by assisting with financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, job cost tracking, and compliance. You will support the accounting team in ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency while adhering to company standards and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Data Entry & Analysis:
- Assist in entering and reconciling financial transactions in accounting software.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and job cost summaries.
- Analyze general ledger accounts and assist in variance analysis.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
- Assist with reviewing subcontractor pay applications and lien waivers.
- Support accounts receivable tracking, including follow-ups on outstanding invoices.
Job Costing & Compliance:
- Help track project costs and ensure proper job cost allocations.
- Assist in reviewing project budgets and identifying cost discrepancies.
- Support the collection and organization of compliance documents, such as insurance certificates and W-9s.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
- Assist in preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the accounting team with special projects and audits as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
- 0-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in construction or a related industry.
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with Acumatica or Procore is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements.
