Josh Wilson serves as Director of Safety at Tester Construction Group, a role he has held since May 2021. He leads the development and implementation of comprehensive health, safety, and environmental programs, ensuring construction sites maintain high safety standards, regulatory compliance, and a proactive culture focused on protecting workers and supporting project success.
A certified Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, Josh brings more than 300 hours of construction safety training and specialized expertise in hazard recognition, risk mitigation, and safety management. Josh’s professional foundation includes 23 years of honorable service in the United States Marine Corps, where he developed strong leadership, discipline, crisis response, and risk assessment skills in high-pressure environments. He also served 12 years as a police officer, strengthening his investigative abilities, emergency management experience, and threat identification skills; capabilities that directly support effective construction safety oversight.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Temple University, providing a strong framework for policy development, incident investigation, and compliance training. Since joining TCG, Josh has advanced safety performance through policy development, site audits, targeted training programs, subcontractor coordination, and safety performance tracking aligned with OSHA and industry standards.
